The building is located in Plaka, which is the old historical neighborhood of Athens, around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, with labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. Plaka is built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens. It is known as the "Neighborhood of the Gods" due to its proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites. It has also many restaurants where you can taste the traditional greek food, as well as bars, cafes and shops.

Many Athens center nightlife hotspots such as Plaka, Thisseion, Monastiraki, Psyrri, Gkazi and Kolonaki can be directly reached by foot, Metro or bus and trolley.

On the other side, 5 minutes walking distance there is another Athenian neighborhood called Koukaki where you can find many small cafes, bars and bistros.

At Syntagma square, there is also a bus or a tram station, which can transfer you to the southern suburbs of Athens, such as Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni, where there are organized beaches to enjoy the sea and the sun. The beautiful Athens Riviera with wonderful white sand beaches, beach bars, restaurants and water sports is half an hour away from home by car or bus.

The Temple of Poseidon at Sounio by the sea is one of the must-see sights. You can go there by car or by car or bus just 1,5 hours away.

Metro as well as Airport Bus X95 are both 250m away from the apartment. Syntagma Square lies at the very heart of the city, most buses, trolleys and the tramway have a stop nearby. As to taxis, just walk over to the square and you will find them lined up waiting for customers. If you plan to bring your own car, keep in mind that parking is always a problem in any large city center. Still, there are plenty of parking garages available in the neighborhood for a variety of prices.
